Jewish music is founded on over 2000 years of heritage. 

It has been primarily influenced by the religion of Judaism itself and has continuously evolved since its existence. 

The melodic intricacies, expressive tendencies and captivating tonalities of Jewish music are what define its essence and flavour. 

The purpose of this blog is to begin an exploration into what Jewish music is, and to gain an understanding of it given the overarching Westernised education that consumes music students today.
